usually applied to a body or persons involved in common enterprise
e.g. a school who is responsible for its own funding may be run by a ‘corporate’ body/firm who raises and controls the expenditure
e.g. if all, or a substantial group of the staff are working to produce a common outcome, then they may be said the be working in a corporate way
